What is 3D printing?

3D printing is a form of additive manufacturing and are 2 common processes of printing

Fused deposition model (FDM)

FDM printing typically uses types of thermoplastic filament like PLA, ABS, PETG etc. 

​

Stereolithography (SLA) printing which uses UV resin. This style of printing is great for high detail models like mini figures.

What is infill?

Infill is the amount, or percentage, of the model that is solid. A typical infill percentage is between 10-50%. There is a multitude of different styles that allow for stronger prints when needed.

This combined with the number of top layers, bottom layers & perimeters can change the print quality and strength

What do I need for a
3D print?

The most common file needed is STL and there are several ways get these models.

1. Have a sample or a sketch with information for us to model it.
